In this chapter, the audience is introduced to a new character, Miss Chang, who has just returned from the moon palace to find that the music she heard there was not as good as it should have been. She complains that she still lacks the power and skill to play the piano, and that she is being blackmailed by her father-in law, who wants her to marry his daughter. Miss Chang tries to convince her that the piano is perfect, but she can't figure out a way to make it work. She tells the piano master that she will sell herself if it means that he can marry her daughter. The piano master tells her that he will never help her again if she doesn't improve her piano playing skills. He tells her to focus on Chapter Three, which will help her to use the air of the yang qi in the surrounding area to gain the power she needs. He also tells her about the singing contest that is going to take place at the same time, and he promises to help her get the tickets. He promises to make her witness a miracle at the contest. He then tells Miss Chang about the long line for the concert tickets, and how he and his wife have been waiting for one year for the chance to see a famous person perform. The tickets are sold out, and Miss Chang is furious. She wants to go to the concert and buy the front row seats, but the line is long and the seats are already sold out. She is furious that she has spent so much money on the tickets and that the price is so high. She threatens to beat up on the piano teacher if he does not help her.
