The master tells the patriarch not to worry, as he and the patriarch are both immortals, and they will be able to escape the city easily. The elder patriarch tells him to stop bragging, as they are both "immortal cultivators" . He tells the elder patriarch that he came to the city to die, but that he must have been misunderstood, and he must be out of the city. He says that he broke into the city together, and the two of them will spare each other. The older patriarch asks the master if he is the best man he's ever known, but the master says he is only traveling through the island, and doesn't care about women. He compares himself to xin-yue, who is already a soul cultivator.
