Master yifan tells Lin that he has found the "Seven Leaf Grass" at the side of the peak of the mountain. Lin asks if there is anything wrong with the grass, and the master tells him that martial artists cannot be sages, mortal cultivators cannot be immortals, and martial artists cant be masters. Lin then tells the story of how he stumbled upon the cold lake 18 years ago and saw a baby crying in a cave. He told people that the baby was his daughter, and so ying was not his biological child. Lin says that he hasn't learned the "Legacy of the King of Medicine: spirit" because he thought the baby might have been possessed by a spirit or something. Lin tells the audience that when he becomes a human immortal, he cannot use needles on the spirit.
