When xinyue calls for help, he discovers that the groom has run away, and that someone has stolen the safe containing the money. He is grateful to the young man for saving the wedding, and vows to give his daughter her hand in marriage. The young man explains that he bought the jade toad from a friend, who did tomb raiding. Since he bought it, his shop has been broken into, his car has been crashed, and now his daughters wedding has been ruined. He has buried the real jade in the safe, but now the fake one has been stolen. He wonders if the jade has some sort of special power, and wonders why he would need to steal it. He asks for the toad, but the man refuses to give it to him, saying that he will probably die if he does so. He tells him that he got rich by selling fakes, and he asks for five million yuan. The man says that thanks to his daughter he did not raise the price of the jade any further, and thanks to god he persuaded the man not to raise it any further
