The next morning, Lin tells the gang that he's going to the "mind demon sea" , which is a part of the "sea of demons" . Lin is worried that the sea is full of mind demons and that they're going to kill anyone who tries to rebel against them. He asks the gang to take the gold dust that wujing gave him, but they refuse to give him anything for free. Lin says he'll give some of it back, but he wants something in return. He wants to be a "core formation cultivator," which means that he has to be in the "terious realm" of the mind-demons. Lin gives him two "cores" : a "formation demon beast core" and a "bead curtain." Lin says that he wants to learn the bead curtain so that he can use it later to attack the sea.
