In this chapter, we learn that the wu gang attacked the mansion of feng hao at midnight, killing fifteen members and leaving no one alive. The wu family was one of the ten most powerful families in the empire at the time of the attack. The father of the family is shocked to learn that his son is a "heaven-grade pharmacist" and that he will follow the orders of his father. He then goes on to say that the family should return to the sacred mountain and practice with him for a while. The gang is not welcome at the mountain, and the father tells them to leave. He also tells them that the gang's friend, Tong chong, is there and will be back soon. They are all shocked to hear this news, and they begin to argue with each other about whether or not their brother is dead. The elder hao says that he thought his brother would not come back, but that his brother is still alive, and that the man who killed his brother couldn't possibly have killed his younger brother.
