The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which the band members discuss the success of their new song. The narrator tells us that the song was well received, and that the members of the band were able to keep it in the band because of the "entry restrictions" that were put in place for the new songs. The band members thank each other for their support, and the narrator thanks them all for their help in bringing back Fukasa. He also tells the story of his parents' divorce, and how one of them has moved to a new school and is now known as kawabata. He tells the group that he used to think that his face resembled that of akitsuki sakura, but he didn't know how to express his feelings, so he moved away from the town where everyone knew him and became the person everyone admired. He thanks the band for saving his life, and he thanks them for saving the band.
