The narrator tells us that he came to see the band because he wants to be a part of the future. He says he's not asking if they can or can't do it, but if they will or won't. He's asking if he can be in the band with Fuuka and the others, too. He wants to know what happened to the past, too, and what the future holds. The narrator asks if they're opposed to the idea of him joining the band, and they say they are. He asks if anyone else has surpassed them in the past few years, and the narrator says it could be a band from the festival, or one that's just been born. He also says that Fuuka is with them, and he tells her not to see him again.
