About This Chapter
The next morning, Hirokazu begins to cry. He realizes that he's in love with Nika, but he can't stop thinking about her. He's worried that she's not the type he'd want to hang out with. He tells himself that he needs to get his band together for their next gig, which is in East Asia. He says that he doesn't want to live his life with love, but that he has to work on the band. He also says that the girl he met at rebellion is no better than the one he'll be hanging out with in the future. He wonders if they're planning to leave the gig up for a long time, and he wonders why they haven't told him about it yet. He thinks it's weird that they've already left the gig. He asks if he could have one of the eye patches with the patch on it, and the girl armed it off him with it. He feels like he could fall if he keeps looking at her, and wonders if maybe he should just keep walking forward instead of looking behind him. He remembers the day they first met, when they were both at the rebel festival, and says that Nika was "a little weird" because she was "pushing and reckless" and always getting him into trouble. She gave him "so much positive energy" that he felt "stupid for being sad" . He likes his voice, though, and wants to hear more of it.
