In this short scene, the gang is waiting for senpai, who is graduating from high school next week. They plan to surprise him with a present at the upcoming graduation ceremony. Before they leave, however, they ask him to tell them what the present is for him. He tells them that he is finally graduating from college and that he was inspired by his father's daughter, who enrolled at the school. When he found out her father had enrolled, his heart "practi calledy danced" . His daughter would drag him into joining a band and then she would take off to someplace far too far away . He says that all he did for the past three years was "run track" , and that this band and he are going to "make it that . . yeah, you even "rejected" your band mates big time . Then he asks if they should have just accepted the offer of mogami , instead of being tough. They could have gone straight into the pros right away, he says, but they didn't. They won the contest, and got their "pro debut" just as planned. They are waiting for him to come up on the roof to give them a present. He asks if the ceremony bums him out, and he replies that it did. He then asks why they brought him up on this roof, since the ones they are using now are "pretty beat up." He says they havent yet gotten to the "sur prise" yet, but he is glad that they both agreed that they would not come to school alone. He adds that they are the "greatest idiots" he has ever met. He gives the band a present and says he will give it to them at the graduation party.
