The next morning, Hiroyuki wakes up to find that he has eaten fried pork skewers. He tells Hiroyuki to get up and rest, because he's sick. Hiroyuki tells him to get out of the room where he and his father have been sleeping for the last ten years, since his mother died of illness. He also tells him that in another year, he'll be taking the national exam for a doctor's license, which means that Hiroyuki will have to quit his job as a musician and become a doctor. He says that if he marries Hiroyuki, his company will be able to make more money off of his father's music business, and Hiroyuki himself will no longer have to work at the music shop.
