In this chapter, we learn that the band's lead singer, Yulan, has just had his first real gig, and he's feeling nervous. He tells us that he'd never felt so nervous before, and that the first time he performed was even more nervous than the last time he did it. He admits that he doesn't have the "kind of talent" that other people have, and the mannerisms are too high a "hurdle" for a kid of his age. The band chose to join because the lead singer felt that he lacked the talent, which is why they joined. The lead singer says that the only thing he wants out of this gig is to "work stand" . That's right, he wants to make a living as an artist. He's not going to make money just because he does this. He wants to do something that's fun, something that he enjoys doing. He asks Yulan to sing a song for him, which he already does. Yulan says that it's pretty good, but that he won't be able to do anything about it because he'll look like a "crap" when he sings. He says that if he had time to "worry about silly stuff" , he could do what's "fun" instead of worrying about silly things.
