Okay, now we're back in Hiroshi's house. He's back on his feet, but he's still bummed that he can't play in the school band anymore. He tells us that he got into the university to run track, but that he doesn't want to be a member of a school band. He says that he and Hiroshi have their own lives, and that he'd be happy to start another band if he could. We learn that Hiroshi is writing a new song, and he asks Hiroshi if he'll listen to it. Hiroshi says that it's too late for him to write the song, since he has to go back to school to get his degree. Coach miyamoto chimes in that he thinks Hiroshi has a lot of potential, especially since his high school track records weren't great. He thinks that he has plenty of potential to do well in the future, but Hiroshi tells him to just think about running now.
