About This Chapter
The scene opens on a stage in front of a crowd of spectators. The four members of the opening band are seated on stage, and they are joined by the five remaining members of their band, who have come to perform at the Budoukan, a festival in Fukuoka, Japan. The band's lead singer, senpai, is playing the piano, and the other members are playing the drums and the bass, respectively. As the song opens, the audience is introduced to the band and its members, and it is clear that they have been waiting for the day to come when they would perform together on the festival stage. As they prepare for their performance, they are interrupted by the sound of a trumpet, which reminds them of the fall of the moon. The audience is impressed by the performance, which is the first of the five acts that will be performing at the festival. The group is composed of senpai on the piano; kun on the drums; Tamura on the bass; and Haruna on the tambourine. They are joined onstage by their mother, who has come to the festival to see them perform. She has come because she has been waiting to see the band perform, and she is pleased to see that the band has finally come together. When the group begins to play, the crowd murmurs that they are the best band they have ever seen. The boy in the audience asks why the band is still unknown, and he is told that the group is about to perform a song called "Rabbitz," which he thinks is about as good as any other song he has heard
