In this chapter, the father of Fukasue tells his daughter's story. He tells her that he is a " useless dad" and that she has a "weak constitut tion" and a "heart gave out" when she was four. He says that last year, some "stuff happened" and she shut herself in her room because of him. He asks if she told him anything, and she says that she did not want to accept the burden of his sin. She tells him that she wants to move to Tokyo and become a musician. She says that every time she visits her father, he is the only one she talks about. She has a new friend, a singer named Yuu, whom she calls an "incredible artist" and who is exciting to watch.
