The next day, Hirokazu asks if he's finished writing the lyrics for his new song. He's been working on the song all day, but he hasn't finished it yet. He asks to be left alone to write a letter to Fukasaku. He tells her that he still loves her, and that he wants her to let him sing a song about him. He also tells her about how she tried to leave their band, but that she couldn't leave because she owed them money and she had to stay on as a member of their band. He says that he'd be sorry if she asked him why he wanted to leave, but if he knew what he was talking about, he wouldn't ask. They're all working hard to make the tour a success, he says, and yet he wants to leave for selfish reasons.
