About This Chapter
Asuras wakes up. He apologizes for killing the team leaders, but he's all on his own now. He wants to know where his daughter and the big guy are. They're still waiting for him, and he wants to kill them. He's going to kill his daughter, he says. Worried, he kisses his daughter's forehead and tickles her with water. Then, two hours later, asuras rejoins the group. He asks where his clothes are, and wonders how big guy could have left them on the ground if he'd run away. He also wonders how they're going to get to Texas, since they'll have to find a town to settle down in once they reach there. He suggests that they all go to the car if they want to go to Chinatown, since it's easier to walk in the middle of the night than it is to walk out in the hot sun. They all manage to find jobs in Chinatown. Red works as a nanny for a chinese American's house, dajun works with Mr. Li to deliver vegetables, and whipster works for a pimp. Finally, as time goes by, no one ever mentions their experience in China again. Red gets married with a Chinese American, another year passes, and sura is left alone.
