He wants to know if the captain can eat all of the breakfast, and the captain says he can read his palm. He says he's a good plamist, and if he reads his palm, he'll know that it's true. An intern from the autopsy department comes in and tells him that if he doesn't believe that the palmistry is true, then he will be dead once Duan returns.
