After the fire is put out, the police chief gives a report on the incident. He praises the officers who put themselves in danger to save the youth center. He also congratulates the officer who saved the day, Miss Pingguo Xiao, on her internship and on becoming a police officer. The police chief then announces that the fifth group of serious cases have won the honorary title of the police squad. The chief then tells the story of how the arsonist was arrested and how the chief failed to arrest him. He says that the chief's behavior has caused "irreparable consequences" and that the punishment for the chief is that he is dismissed from the force. The uncle boyang tells the chief that he will sell his apartment and take a trip to another city to investigate. He asks the chief to come with him and say goodbye to his daughter.
