About This Chapter
In the middle of the night, a woman named "Merry-hao" comes home from work and discovers that her ex-boyfriend, Ming-Mao, has been seen in her apartment. She leaves a hidden camera in the house to try and capture Ming's presence, but the figure does not appear. She apologizes for the delay in returning home, and Ming-Maio tells her that the thief has already killed him, and that she should not be afraid. He tells her not to worry about calling the police, because the police are out of question, and he would still get a long prison sentence even if he did not kill the thief. He also tells her she does not love him at all and that he will take care of his own business. She tells him to get out of her way, because she is worried that someone will notice. He says he will move in with her the next day, and she tells him not to go out any longer, as Ming-Ming's family will be looking for him. She also tells him that he should get a new monitor and a new phone, since she has not enough money in her bank account to buy one. She asks her husband what he should buy for the New Year, since he is so spoiled.
