The next day, Duan is back at the police station. He's not sure what to make of his hallucinations, but he's convinced that they came from his "profound imagination" . Duan wants to know how he ended up in bed, how he washed his clothes, and why he started to sweat bullets when he was drunk. He wants to go buy some food, but first he wants to talk to Duan, who's been out of town for a few days. He says he'll call Duan as soon as he gets back, but it's going to be a while before Duan can get there. He tells Duan to be careful to not let anyone see him, and Duan promises to go deal with the old liu, who has been calling all day. After Duan leaves, he goes to the archives room to look for the missing girl. He finds all of the missing files organized perfectly, and he can't even imagine how long it'll take to finish the job. He also notices that his face looks very "kichiku" , which he doesn't understand.
