Act.24 opens with a soliloquy about the fate of defects. The narrator tells us that defects are like corpses that lie at the feet of their bearers. He says that the coppelion, the completed lion, lies at his feet and that he will be one of them. He tells us to buy him time. The genome map data is almost sent, and the narrator says that he's going to keep the lioness from moving. He taunts the fossiloid, saying that there's a big hole in the ground and that they should try and eat them. They're behind him, he says, and that's why they're waiting for him to do something. He doesn't want them to do anything, he wants them to destroy one of the front-ends of the edon-type. He's not going to let them get away, he tells us. The transmission complete ! he says. This is what he gets for leaving him all alone. He wants to buy the server that contains the map data, and he wants to know how much he'll get for it. He asks if they'll play a game of it with him. The winner gets the map, he asks, and so much for his grand plan. He hates the river because it has a hole in it. They need to get to haneda, but they can't get there in time to rescue the lioness. They have to go inside an ambulance and wait for the submarine to get there.
