Dr. Coppelius has told Dr. Bledsoe that the U.S. will soon be involved in a major war with Russia, and that this war will take place on October 21st. Dr. Owen tells the group that he is surprised he is still alive, as he would have died on the railroad tracks at the same time as those who lost their lives in the battle. He says that he stayed hidden in the cemetery for a while, and then left to join the shinjuku. He adds that the government is trying to use him and his coppelion against them, but that they are the mistresses of chaos, and should get out of their way if they want to live
