Meanwhile, back at the monster's hideout, we learn that one of the monsters is still alive, and that the rest of the humans are dead or dying. The monster is so freaked out by this news that he tries to run away, but the other humans are too scared to help him. The other humans try to calm him down, but he can't get them to listen to him. He tells them that he's found arsenic trioxide, which is used in medicine, and he wants to know why they're using it. He asks them to tell him what's in the room, and they tell him that it's the stuff that caused the ceiling to fall in the first place. He's so worried that they'll all split up and run off together, so they hide in a corner of a bank. The bank has a locked door, and the monster can use it to get out.
