In this chapter, we are introduced to Dr. Coppell, an arms dealer, and his wife, the "Dinobot" . They are on their way to the "diet building" in order to buy some food for the "dinobot's" new laboratory. They discuss the recent developments in the Middle East and the possibility of war between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. They note that the "armed insurgents" in the country of the Republic of the Kazakhstan do not exist, but are merely trying to gain access to the country's uranium resources. They urge the Japanese government to do something about the situation, but the Japanese refuse to listen to them. They remind the Americans that they are the only nation in the world with the ability to produce and use "nuclear power" and that they have the technology to "make radiation harmless"
