About This Chapter
The next morning, Enoshima and Haruto discuss the situation. Enoshima tells Haruto that he is disappointed in him for running away. Haruto tells him that it was the fault of the soldier that he ran away. He tells Enoshima that he and ibuki could not meet in the forest because they could not trust humans. He says that he lost his humanity long ago, and that he now lives in the "city of death." Enoshima asks Haruto if he has a plan to get the two of them out of the city, and he says that they are fixing a train line and taking it to the city of shinjuku. He also tells them that the decision to reinstate the use of nuclear power has been put on hold by the government of Japan. When Enoshima sees the gun that Haruto is carrying, he asks if it is Haruto's only gun, but Haruto says that it is his. He asks if he should give it to Enoshima before he wakes up, and when he does, he gives it to him.
