The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which the three men discuss the possibility of entering outer space. The three men are planning to go to outer space to search for the source of spiritual power, which they believe will help them find the target of their search. They also plan to bring along the spirit maiden, Mengmeng, so that she will be able to sense the spiritual power and bring it to them. They are also planning to take Yumo with them, as he is supposed to act as the acting emperor. Yumo, however, is not yet ready to assume the role of acting emperor, and the trio asks him to stay with them.
