In this chapter, the monster tells the reader that he has become stronger in his fight against the devil. He tells us that he's been living in hell for 300 years, and that now is the time for him to leave. He's cut his hair short so that he doesn't look like a monster, and he tells the audience that he still wants to go back into the human realm. He says that breaking the "hell jewel" will make hell "throw hell into chaos" , but that he won't be able to do so if he breaks the "holy jewel" .
