He's worried that they'll be able to defeat the bad guys if they go with him. He tells her that he's willing to go along with her if she'll stop being a "bad person" and stop smoking. The two of them go off to get some food. The father tells his son that he once had a golden bird with a sister. The golden bird and his sister got along very well. The dad tells the story of the golden bird's sister and how the sister and the father got along well. When the father tells the tale, the sister is conanai, the father is shinran, and the demon king is the best of the two. The king tells the father that he wants to make him a "magic trick" for him. The trick is just a light powder. The reason he brought the king is because his favorite is the stars.
