This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, where the villain, who is called "the villain," attacks the lord, "kamaitachi." The villain backstabs the lord in self-defense, but the lord is strong and upright, and the villain is weak and cowardly. The villain's back is so vicious that it leaves the lord with a bloody wound. The chapter ends with a description of the scene in which the villain kills the lord. The scene is set in the middle of the night, during which time the villain and his accomplices have gone to the "heaven realm" .
