When he was young, he had a hard time describing what it was like to grow up in the afterlife. He asked his father about it, but his father didn't tell him. When he became an adult, his father told him about a massacre that took place in his village. All kinds of demonic beasts attacked the village, and all the people were killed by them. Yumo witnessed all of the people being bitten to death or burned alive by the beasts. This is his secret, he says, and he doesn't want anyone to think that he is a bad guy. He says he's going to take revenge on the bad guys. He tells the others to stay away from yumo, and to protect him later. He also tells them to get some food for his mom, who is sick. They're going to attack one of the beasts on the left, while the other two will attack the beast on the right.
