The next morning, Gu Ling tells his son that he has found a cave in the forest. Gu Ling tries to convince his son to go inside, but Gu Ling refuses, saying that the cave is too dangerous for him to venture out. Gu Ming tells Gu Ling that he and his father have come to the cave, but that they have not yet found anything. He asks Gu Ling if he wants to look inside, and Gu Ling says that someone has been inside before.
