It's been a while since we've seen Shadow, and now he's back in the forest. He's still freaked out by the sight of his daughter. He asks if it's okay to bring the girl to the forest, since she's supposed to help them find the place where they're supposed to find the spirit maiden. He says he'll protect his daughter with his life, and then he asks his uncle to protect him by touching the butterfly pollen on his hand. The pollen is poisonous, and he can't leave it alone. He tells the others to get out of the way, and they do. Then he asks if they've all arrived. They're all there, and Shadow's the only one who doesn't want to be left alone with them. He calls out to everyone to follow him, and everyone follows him.
