The chapter opens with a dream in which the "demon king" is being chased by the "green dragon" and the "vermilion bird" . The dream is interrupted by the sound of the "big swish arch" , which is a symbol of the dragon's death. The "dragon king" tells the dreamer that he has killed the green dragon and that the "crow" and "bird" are dead. He tells the "dreamer" that the time has come for them to come together to defeat the "hell emperor" and bring the prisoners back to safety. He says that the prisoners must be brought to safety because they are too dangerous to fight in the nine-seat battle. He asks the "young shin" to trust him. The young shin tells him that he is not his opponent, and that he must not give up. The girl tells the young shin that she is getting thinner, and the prisoners have escaped. She tells the girl that she should not hurt her mother, because she is the "nerve of her" and she needs discipline when she doesn't behave. She says that she will go back to her father, who is panting.
