When the scene opens, we are told that Yumo has run away, and that his father, poker, is worried about him. He asks his son how he is doing, and the boy tells him that he is fine, but that his mother is getting meaner to him. When the boy asks if he can get ice cream, his mother's "scepter" , the "holy light" of his mother, appears, and he asks if they can break the ice to get it out. When they do, they find that it is the "swoop" of the "spirit maiden" that they are looking for, and they decide to use the "power of holy light" to melt and release the ice.
