In this chapter, we learn that Cai Ming-liang, also known as "the great hell emperor" , is in purgatory. He is accompanied by his sister Tanmeng, who tells him that she has found the traces of the "traces" of the former emperor in heaven. She asks him to go help her recover her body in flesh. He says that he will never allow the emperor to return to heaven because he is in charge of purgatory, and there is only one entrance to heaven, through which the emperor can enter. He tells her that his father, the former chief of shadow, was the first emperor, but the emperor was defeated by the chief of cloud, and the entire tribe seized the throne. Now, he says, he is the only one who can hold on to the throne because his father has died.
