The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Mengmeng and the other members of the Lilyun sect are being mistreated by the mysterious sect. The narrator tells us that the reason for this is that the sect is in a bad shape, and that the people of the sect are causing trouble. He says that he's going to go to the Qingfeng sect the next day to deal with the problem. He also says that if he wakes up in the middle of the night, he'll throw him out of the window. He's not worried about what happened between the two of them back then, he just wants to go. He wants to get revenge on the people who have wronged him. He swears that he is not a human being if he doesn't take action against the sect. He tells the narrator that he wants to climb the mountain alone. He asks if she's tired, and she says that she is. She's cute, he says, even when she climbs a mountain. She is an angel, he tells her. She tells him to try to compete with him to see who gets to the mountaintop first. He tries to do so, but he can't do it, because he is so slow. He goes on to say that the house they're looking at is beautiful, and they can go inside and look at it. He reminds the others that they shouldn't be wasting time on him, since he is hurrying.
