In this chapter, we learn that the "holy light" is the result of a secret message left behind by his mother, and that it is the reason for his spiritual power. The two men discuss the possibility of a war between heaven and the three realms, but they do not yet know what that war would be like. They are afraid that the smell of heaven is coming from the other side of the world, but the smell is not from heaven, but from a wolf. The wolf tells the men that they need to regain their strength. He tells them that he was about to pay them a million for their loss, but that he had to pay the spectacled guy because he smells like another person.
