This chapter opens with the sound of a strange thing entering the body of Mr. Mengmeng. He is overcome with horror at the sight. He tells the ghost that he has taken over the matter with his daughter and that he can kill the ghost if he wants to. The ghost tells him that he cannot kill him, but that he should shoot the watch. Mr. Mangmeng begs the ghost not to kill him. He says that he was wrong, and that the only thing he wants is his daughter screaming. He asks if the ghost is light outside, and the ghost says that it is. He then asks if his hand is bleeding, and he says that his injuries are healing instantly. He also asks if he is finished with the matter, and is told that he is bleeding from the hand he just gave to the ghost. When the ghost asks him if he has something to do, he asks him to take care of him for him, and then he leaves.
