In this short scene, Shadow speaks to his mother and tells her that his sister has died because of him. He blames his father for her death because he had agreed to let the spirit maiden pass on her power to his daughter. He tells his mother that if she had not died, his sister's power would not have gone to her daughter and none of this would have happened
