In this chapter, we learn that the Pandas have killed the mother bear, and that the cubs have been left behind. The Pandas are worried that the domain will soon collapse and that they will be unable to lure the cubs to where Dean Cai is hiding. Worried about the Panda's safety, wang-qiu'er tries to hold onto his hand, but the soft hand of the Panda reminds him that he is school chums with the Panda. Unsure of what to do, he continues to run, and when he sees the Panda catch up with him, he thrusts the golden spear behind her. Countless souls rushed forward and attacked the Panda from where the Evil Soul Master was. He tells them to stop running and to hand over their soul bones and tools since they can neither hide nor run. Believing that their soul powers are fusing, they continue to run.
