The two soul beasts fight, but they're too small to be a threat to each other. The beast that's closest to the ground is called the Silver Beast, and it's got a special ability to "stone rub" its enemies' souls. The Silver Beast is able to do this because of its agility and spirit. The skyshaking roar attacks, but the Silverbeast catches it off guard, and nearly knocks it unconscious. Everyone rushes to help, and they head back to the Shreve Academy.
