About This Chapter
In the moonlight, Shmoop is overcome with emotion. He tells his brother that they have been humiliated at the hands of the exchange students, and that they must learn to control their anger. Shmo, who has arrived at the academy, is also overcome by emotion and asks Shmo if he is trying to turn him into "a mummy" , a reference to the ancient Egyptian custom of turning a man into a mummy, or a "mummy." Shmo tells him that he is not trying to make him "into a mummy," but to teach him a lesson. He also tells Shmo that the exchange student who fought with his brother yesterday was badly beaten up, and Shmo blames him for the attack. He says that Shmo is also responsible for the matter, because he is a student at Shmo's academy, and he has already given Shmo enough leeway to do what he wants with the matter. He warns Shmo not to pursue the matter any further, and to learn to respect his elders
