In order to fight the bear, they exhausted their soul power. Yuhao protects him from the bear's attack by taking the blow with his body. He also protects Yuhao from the sharp edge of the mountain, as well. He cries out for help, but Yuhao calms him down and tells him to come back to him. He tells Yuhao that they need to clean his wounds first, and that he will be the one to do it. He explains that he is injured because he forgot that he was a soul engineer, and he was fighting with a soul master who was careless of him. Another reason for his injury is that he completely forgot his other identity, as a soul ancestor. He is only an ancestor with four soul rings. He asks Yuhao if he is awake, and Yuhao tells him that he cannot sleep forever, but that men should not shed too much blood, so keep his tears to themselves. He says that he doesn't like Yuhao's big eyes, and his eyelashes are too long, but he does not dislike the little eyes of hiss. He thanks Yuhao for being the only one he has ever talked to like this, and asks that they channel their soul powers to speed up his recovery. The next morning, Yuhao is able to walk on his own again.
