On the fourth day of the battle, Volger tells the audience that he has been caught in the "stagnation" of the war and that he is now ready to demand revenge. He tells them that he and his lady in waiting have one demand: the surrender of the empire. Volger says that if the empire does not surrender, the former kingdom of Pelion will be surrendered.
