About This Chapter
The lieutenant tells the ladies that he's going to take a leave of absence from them. He wants to know why they're so important to him. He says that he doesn't care who is superior to him, and that when they execute the operation, he'll tell everyone about it. The lieutenant says that's a good way to put it. He's not going to let anyone else know about it, he says. He also says that they need to get a unit to do the job instead of an independent soldier. He thinks that corporal randel is a good candidate for that job. He tells the lieutenant that he tried to get him into the army before, but he got sick and couldn't do it. They checked him out, and he was approved. He was happy to hear that she was such an idiot. He wonders if she's been getting better at controlling her emotions lately. She seems to have gotten better at it recently, and she seems to be holding herself back. She reminds herself that she isn't a super hero, and it's time for her to kill herself. She's got seven days until the congress convenes.
