In this chapter, we're introduced to a new character, Captain Goldman. He's the fourth officer in the company, and he's in charge of the bank's "section one" , which is basically the secret police. He tells us that the bank has four guards, and that no one thinks they're a threat to the establishment. He also says that he'll "lay the myths to rest" about what happened at the bank, since they'll be able to use the power of section one to do whatever they want with the bank. He wonders if a knife-wielding guy can survive a "claymore one" operation, since the bank is so big. The fourth officer is also wondering if there's still some people hiding in the area. After the cease-fire, the newly-destitute soldiers "sold their weapons" on the "black market" . They're also worried about the hostages, but they don't want to worry about the civilians. They just want to deal with the "ministry of finance" directly. The captain asks who the heck is this guy doing in his house, and the hostage tells him that the soldiers just fired at them, too. They didn't even ask for a military intervention. They were just trying to box in with the enemy. The soldier should've gotten his message by now, the hostage says. The voice in the house calls him a "monster," and he apologizes for calling him a monster. He says that even though the soldiers showed no mercy to the hostages
