About This Chapter
In the second half of the game, Shimura and his men continue to put on a show for the spectators, and the captain is impressed with how well they're playing. He feels that they've set an example for the rest of the team, and that they can do the same against any team. He's sure they'll beat any team in the world if they just keep it simple and play it straight. Shimura, however, keeps pushing the ball forward, and it's clear that he's the one who's going to get the shot at the end of the match. The captain wonders if he'll be able to keep up with Shimura's pace, and wonders if there's a way for him to get a shot on the goal if he needs to. He also wonders if the other players are going to try to catch up to him, and he wonders if they'd all be better off if they didn't try and catch up with him. Finally, the captain decides that he can't stand it any longer, and decides to fight on.
