In this chapter, we learn that coach Akaiko will not be returning to the club, and that his son, Hiroyuki, will be taking over as the new coach. Hiroyuki tells his father that he will give everything he has to the new club, but that he is not worried about his job prospects. He says that people expect results from the club and that coach Minakuchi is not coming back. He adds that the club will not fall apart now because of her hard work. He tells Hiroyuki that he always hated the game when he was a kid, and he wonders how he will be able to replace his father as the head coach of the club.
