About This Chapter
It's been a long day at the office, but the guys are back at it. They've been working hard, and they're ready to go for another practice session. Coach Tomoyuki tells the guys that tomorrow they'll play a scrimmage against Keiou, a team that doesn't have many third-year players. He tells them that they've got two chances to make the national team next year, and that's his secret plan: he'll pay them a lot of money to make it. The guys are all like, "Wow, Coach, you're wasting our time" , and then they all laugh at him for trying to pass the ball to the keeper. They all agree that it's a waste of practice time, but they also don't want to give Keiou too much time to work on his shot-making. They want to see if he's getting better, or if he just hasn't gotten the hang of it yet. The coach says that he'd like to see him make a goal before the game, but he can't see him making one in a game. He's proven it time and time again, he says. He says that, as a coach, he respects Keiko more than any other player. The captain says that the other guys are just too aloof for him to be around, and he wants to invite them back tomorrow.
